I recently made the trip up to Santa Pod to watch the European Finals. It was, without a doubt, one of the most awe-inspiring days I have had with any kind of motor sport. The speed, and violence, of these machines is beyond comprehension. If any of you haven’t been then I urge you to go as it will be a day that you’ll never forget. Oh, and take ear plugs.
Santa Pod had also very kindly got me a ride in the two-seater dragster which, although it doesn’t have the 8000bhp of the Top Fuel dragsters, still packs a monumental 1000bhp. The run was… well, mind-blowing. However, it didn’t all go according to plan…
