When did you first read Motor Sport? 
In 1964, when I started international racing.

Your day-to-day drive?
Maserati Levante and Alfa Giulia Veloce

The best car you’ve owned? 
A 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB Scaglietti

The one car you covet most? 
The Alfa Giulia GTA Stradale, in which I was twice European champion

One racing car, one circuit?
Alfa Giulia GTA Autodelta, Nürburgring

Who you most admire?
Juan Manuel Fangio and Bruce McLaren

Your best friend?
Antonio Ghini, from Ferrari

Your best character trait?
Concentration and honesty in reaching objectives

Most prized possession?
The Argentine Temporada winner’s trophy with Ferrari (pictured on his way to victory below), and my Italy’s Sportsman of the Year award.

Your greatest extravagance?
As much sleep as possible…

Favourite place in the world?
At home with my family in Varano de Melegari

The perfect holiday destination?
Cyclades Islands, especially Mykonos

Il Castello in Varano & Le Vigne at Viazzano
