It’s the start of a packed afternoon of competition, including pre-1966 spec Porsche 911s in the one-make 2-litre Cup; Ferrari 250 GT SWBs and Jaguar E-types in the Gentlemen Challenge; plus a Group C round.
Then 1960s endurance cars, including Shelby Cobras and Lotus Elans head into sunset for the two-hour Sixties’ Challenge, followed by night racing — the return of prototypes and LMP1s for a second race — and then the Heritage Touring Cup taking the Spa-Classic into Sunday (on European time), as BMW 3,0 CSLs, Ford Escort RSs, Capris and a series of Alfa Romeos bring the day’s racing to an undoubtedly thrilling end.
