Weather has been playing havoc on the Dakar, with stages six and nine both cancelled. As it stands, after stage eight, Sebastien Loeb leads a Peugeot 1-2-3. Last year’s winner Stephane Peterhansel lies second, just 98 seconds back, with Cyril Despres 17 minutes adrift.
