Formula 1 returns to its spiritual home as Silverstone hosts the British Grand Prix, the 12th round of the 2025 Formula 1 season. Once again, live coverage will be free-to-view on Channel 4, which will broadcast all practice sessions, as well as qualifying and the race in real-time.
It’s the only race of the year that British viewers can watch live without a subscription fee: the lights go out at 3pm BST when local heroes Lando Norris, George Russell, and Lewis Hamilton all aim for glory on home soil.
Silverstone’s fast, flowing 5.9km circuit promises another action-packed weekend, renowned for its unpredictable weather and passionate British fans.
The event celebrates F1’s 75th anniversary at the circuit where the World Championship began in 1950.
