Formula 1 heads to Marina Bay this weekend for the Singapore Grand Prix, the 18th round of the 2025 season, with the race set to start on Sunday at 1pm BST.

Singapore’s floodlights won’t just add to the drama of the championship battle, they also enable organisers to maintain a European schedule, so all of the weekend’s sessions are at familiar times.

Drivers and team staff are given a lie-in, as on-track action doesn’t start until 5.30pm local time on Saturday and Sunday, with the cars running until 10pm throughout the weekend. For viewers in Britain, that means the first practice sessions of Friday and Saturday start at 10.30am BST; qualifying is at 2pm on Saturday; and the race maintains a Sunday lunchtime slot.

After Max Verstappen‘s Baku triumph — his second in a row — the Marina Bay race should show whether his Red Bull can perform at the same level on a completely different circuit, and whether the reigning champion can make a late comeback to challenge for this year’s title. McLaren pair Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris will be doing their utmost to ensure he can’t, as they also push towards back-to-back constructors’ crown for McLaren.

If the Red Bull is competitive around the streets of Singapore, it promises to be an intriguing event.

Here is the full Singapore GP weekend schedule.
