McLaren will be making hasty repairs to both of its cars after a dramatic start to today’s sprint saw Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris take each other out of the race.

Qualifying for tomorrow’s United States Grand Prix starts at 10pm BST (4pm local time), in today’s second dose of competitive action at Circuit of the Americas.

Can Max Verstappen follow up sprint pole and victory by topping the timesheets in qualifying, or will McLaren rapidly change the narrative of the weekend by claiming pole for Sunday’s race?

And could Nico Hülkenberg feature among the frontrunners again after starting fourth on the grid for the sprint?

You can watch qualifying live on Sky Sports, or via the Now TV app in Britain, where Channel 4 will also be showing highlights in the early hours of Sunday, and then later that morning — a package that will also feature the sprint.
