Formula 1 returns to Barcelona this weekend for the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, as the European leg of the 2026 season continues with one of the calendar’s most familiar venues.
British viewers can watch every session live on Sky, while Channel 4 will show highlights from qualifying and the race.
The grand prix begins at 2pm BST on Sunday, with qualifying at 3pm on Saturday likely to play a major role around a circuit where clean air, tyre management and rhythm through the long final sector can make all the difference.
Barcelona has long been one of F1’s benchmark tracks, rewarding balanced cars and exposing weaknesses quickly.
This year’s race also carries added significance, as it marks Formula 1’s final visit to Barcelona before the event drops off the schedule in 2027 and returns in 2028 as part of the new rotation system with Spa.
That gives this weekend a slightly different feel, as Barcelona hasn’t been absent from the F1 calendar since its debut in 1991.
