This weekend brings a second grand prix in as many weeks, ahead of the Formula 1 summer break. Watch the Hungarian Grand Prix live from 2pm BST on Sunday, when the lights will go out until the end of August.

Formula 1 will be in the outskirts of Budapest, where the Hungaroring offering a very different test to Spa: a tight, twisting layout often dubbed “Monaco without the walls”.

The Hungaroring’s relentless sequence of 14 corners, punctuated by only one real straight, rewards maximum downforce set-ups and punishes even small mistakes, since there’s little room to make up lost time.

High track temperatures and heavy tyre degradation, particularly on the rear axle from constant traction zones, add another layer of difficulty over the 70-lap race distance.

Hungaroring has historically offered few overtaking opportunities, meaning qualifying pace has often decided the race, but it remains to be seen how the 2026 rules and the ‘yo-yo racing’ will shape things this weekend.

Sky Sports F1 has exclusive live coverage in the UK, with Channel 4 providing highlights of the competitive sessions.
