Claire Williams joins Women in Engineering event panel



Some of the biggest female names in motor sport will be taking part in a national Women in Engineering event on Tuesday 23 June at the IMechE in London as part of National Women in Engineering Day.

Motor Sport will be there to record the event for a special podcast, which will be available soon after.

Tickets to attend are free, and a web stream will be available for those unable to attend. More information can be found on their Eventbrite page.

Formula Student, F1 in Schools and the World Solar Challenge will open the evening with a series of presentations before Jennie Gow hosts a Q&A with a panel of experts from across the world of motor sport.

Already confirmed on the panel is Claire Williams, deputy team principal of Williams, Leena Gade, the driving force on the pit wall for the lead Audi LMP1 squad and a three-time Le Mans winner, and Bernadette Collins of Force India, among others. They will be answering questions and offering insight into their roles and how they reached the top levels of the sport.
