A rollercoaster ride with twists and turns like few others – Spa-Francorchamps could almost be a metaphor for F1 Fantasy this season.
This weekend’s 2025 Belgian GP, a sprint weekend no-less, offers huge opportunities to scoop up big Fantasy points.
Lando Norris has fought back to win the last two grands prix, but Oscar Piastri has been hot on his tail, and arguably should have come home first at Silverstone.
The Australian showed he means business by outpacing next-best Max Verstappen by almost half a second in Spa sprint qualifying, but there were surprises elsewhere in the top 10.
Who to pick for your F1 Fantasy line-up this weekend? Motor Sport has all the tips and advice below.
Motor Sport’s 2025 Belgian GP F1 Fantasy choices: Can you capitalise on the crucial sprint?
The numbers don’t lie. Oscar Piastri has scored 418 Fantasy points to his McLaren team-mate Norris’s 425, but at $25.8m costs a whopping $5m less.
Verstappen still costs $28.6m, leaving you with little choice but to pick 2025 Fantasy hero Piastri as your main man.
Ollie Bearman actually qualifying well in seventh for the sprint was a turn up for the books. His success in the game this year has been based on having a poor Saturday then pulling off a load of overtakes in the races to rack up the Fantasy points.

McLaren
At $7.1m the Brit represents excellent value for money. He’s the eighth highest scorer in F1 Fantasy this year, placing above more seven more expensive assets.
The Haas driver costs $0.9m less than Nico Hülkenberg whose recent heroics have seen his price shoot up. Essentially, the German driver hadn’t been up to much Fantasy wise before turning into a mean, green, points-scoring machine over the last few races, his value rocketing accordingly. If his and Bearman’s prices converge soon, we may advise a switch.
Isack Hadjar ranks 14th out of the 23 Fantasy drivers this year, but his $6.3m tag makes the best performing driver in his price range. Starting ninth for tomorrow’s sprint, we’d advise keeping him in the team.
His Racing Bulls colleague Liam Lawson ($4.5m) has begun to get results in recent races, and his rock-bottom valuation means he could soon turn into a great asset. Starting 11th tomorrow, the Kiwi should be in your team.
Bearman continues to look strong (in Fantasy terms)
Last, but by no means least, is F1 legend Fernando Alonso ($6.3m). The Aston Martin driver looked sharp in sprint qualifying until he was sent out at the wrong time, being caught short by the falling track temperature. The Spaniard has the potential to make moves in both races, and his value will likely continue to rise, so it’s best to get him in.
McLaren, though costing an eye-watering $33.6m, has scored almost twice the Fantasy points of its nearest challenger Ferrari (1022 versus 604). We’d advise pairing the Papaya bunch with Mercedes, the third-best scoring Fantasy team with 501 points, but costing over $4m less at $25.3m.
Which F1 Fantasy chips should I use?
If you still have your Limitless or Extra DRS chips available, it might be an idea to use one so as to maximise Fantasy points available over this sprint weekend.
Otherwise, despite the slightly inclement weather forecast this weekend, we’d advise saving your other chips for later in the season.
