Every 2026 F1 driver number - and why they chose them
Every F1 driver number for the 2026 F1 season, including the inspiration behind their choices, the rules behind choosing numbers, and the ones that can’t be picked
Motor Sport is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year and our July issue will be a special collectors’ edition. A large part of the magazine will look back at the last 90 years of motor sport and we’d like your input. We’ll be looking at each decade, from the 1920s to the 2010s, and we’d like to know who you think the greatest driver is from each decade. They don’t have to be the most successful, they just need to be the greatest in your eyes. Voting is simple – just fill in the boxes below and make sure you click ‘vote’ on each box. Also, if you’d like your name to appear in the magazine, do leave a comment in the comments section below outlining why you have chosen what you have. We’ve tried to include all the obvious choices, but there will be options missing that you’d like to include. In this case just use the ‘Other’ button. Look out for the July issue that will be on sale on May 27. Happy 90th birthday Motor Sport!
