Max Verstappen can race Nürburgring 24 Hours after Nordschleife debut
Max Verstappen has earned the licence that will allow him to race at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, and could compete in the 2026 running of the historic race
Stirling Moss recorded two podcasts with Motor Sport and, much like his career, they were fast-paced, thoroughly entertaining and packed with variety.
In 90 minutes of recordings, Moss recounts racing’s golden era; of waving to pretty girls on each lap at Monaco, and his great victories, including the famous 1955 Mille Miglia.
He shares his views on modern Formula 1, and life after retirement.
Recorded in the month of May, we sat down with Stirling Moss to talk Monaco and the Mille Miglia. Moss famously won the latter in 1955 with Motor Sport‘s continental correspondent Denis Jenkinson aboard the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. In Monaco he also enjoyed great success with Grand Prix wins in 1956, 1960 and 1961. His last win there, when he held off the faster Ferraris behind him, is widely considered one of his greatest races of all time.
We also take readers’ questions which cover Moss’ greatest corners, his retirement from racing and much more.
Recorded live in front of an audience of Motor Sport readers, this 2013 podcast weaves through Moss’s illustrious career, from the toughest racers of his era that he respected most, to why modern drivers contribute less to success.
We learn the two subjects that he and Fangio spoke about; the modern driver he’d want to go for a drink with – thanks to his sense of humour; and why he’d loved to have raced the Indy 500.
