Ferrari has launched a competition for budding motor sport photographers, which will see one talented entrant join its media team in Barcelona to shoot images of Ferrari’s season finale race weekend.

Entries are open for professional photographers to submit three motor sport images from their portfolio.

A shortlist of six will then be hosted at Silverstone in May at the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli UK event, where experienced motor sport photographers will offer guidance and support in capturing images of the action in the pitlane and trackside.

Each photographer’s best images from the first two days of the race weekend will then be printed onto canvas. The artworks will go on display in The Wing building above the pits on the final day of the event — May 24 — when a team of judges will pick the overall winner of the competition.

They will have the opportunity to join Ferrari UK’s photographic team at the Ferrari Finali Mondiali, held this November in Barcelona; their images will be shared on Ferrari UK’s Instagram account as part of the brand’s coverage of the event.

The winner will also receive a year’s complimentary membership to the Guild of Motoring Writers.

The canvases shown at Silverstone will be available to purchase, with all proceeds being donated to the Guild of Motoring Writers benevolent fund.

Photographers can enter via the competition website and must submit a 300-word statement, in addition to three of their motor sport images. Entries close on April 7.
