Cinema Club – Le Mans – 1080×1080

Le Mans (1971)

Lee H Katzin’s Le Mans is a roaring, high-octane spectacle where Steve McQueen stares down death at 200mph in the most brutally authentic race ever seen on film.

The cult-classic movie was shot on location during the actual 1970 Le Mans 24 Hours, using a great deal of real racing footage. As a skilled driver, Steve McQueen aimed to create a documentary-style film, with his character, Michael Delaney, driving a Gulf-liveried Porsche 917K.
