Motor Sport is delighted to announce Princess Yachts as sponsor of the Formula 1 category for the 2017 Hall of Fame. Experts in beautifully designed yachts made with exquisite English craftsmanship, Princess is the perfect partner for F1: its Plymouth-produced yachts are regularly found in the bays of Grand Prix venues.

Kiran Haslam, marketing director for Princess Yachts International, said: “It is a privilege to be part of Motor Sport’s 2017 Hall of Fame, and the category of F1 is certainly one that resonates very well with Princess and our clientele. We are a rare entity indeed, as we are perhaps the last remaining luxury yacht manufacturer in the UK to be crafting our yachts entirely in England, to universal acclaim. This, together with the blend of performance and style found in each Princess, appeals to our customers, who also clearly adore F1.

“We attend many races every year with Princess owners to support the drivers and the teams. Formula 1 is still one of the most special sporting activities in the world today, and so the hotly contested category will undoubtedly be a huge talking point for motor sport fans the world over. Best of luck to all the nominees.”

The Hall of Fame F1 category attracts keen debate every year and boasts an impressive stable of names. The shortlist of candidates for 2017 was complied with the first-hand expertise of former Grand Prix driver Karun Chandhok, together with Mark Hughes and Ed Foster. Tickets for the 2017 Motor Sport Hall of Fame awards ceremony, that takes place on the 7th June at the Royal Automobile Club, Epsom, are now on sale.
