In 1999 Mercedes went to Le Mans with the aim of winning the 24hr race outright with a trio of CLR GT cars. But that’s not quite how things turned out.
A string of accidents which saw the cars of Mark Webber and Peter Dumbreck become airborne forced the legendary team to pull down the shutters and go home. Laurence Baker was fortunate enough to be the official team photographer and shot the entire week on film in black and white. Almost 20 years on the pictures have never been seen before so he decided to put together a set of boxed images for the discerning collector.
Available in A3 and A4 formats each set will be limited to 99 copies. The prints will be presented in a beautiful hand made suede lined box embossed with the silver star, the name of the recipient, and numbered 1-99. Each set contains 40 prints produced on heavyweight archival inkjet paper. Available in size A4 or A3.
