El Dandy | Helmet – Carlos (Charly) Menditeguy | Suixtil

Handcrafted helmets for the real motorsport fan

£899.00 (Approx. $1,147.27 / €978.00)

Lovingly handcrafted in Argentina El Dandy is an hommage to yet another Suixtil hero and one of its most colourful. Carlos (Charly) Menditeguy was a fearless Argentinean racer, as comfortable flying the Suixtil Coup at these terrifying TC races as he was behind the wheel of a sedated Ferrari for a “regular” GP. And, always elegant and stylish to a fault and ever the gentleman – hence the nickname that we associated with his helmet.

The helmet shell is built from a base moulded from resin and fibres while it’s inside is lined with the natural cork of 3 mm (0.11 in) thickness.  All straps are crafted from the finest real cow leather while the padding and covers are stitched from 100% cotton. The black outer leather smartly contrasts with the inner one and the comfort bands that Charly favoured (clearly more for the looks than any pretended safety as with most helmets from the time).

This beautiful piece is sure to attract a lot of attention with its gorgeous patina and is crafted to the highest standard.  It arrives nicely packed in a linen bag that you can use whenever taking the helmet to a track day or an event.

El Dandy comes in 3 sizes (thanks to an easy to install foam adjustment ring) that accommodates head sizes from 56 to 64 cm (22 to 25.5′) and is delivered by courier within 7 days of its order.
