Unique opportunity to own a classic ‘Stirling Moss’ helmet that has completed the Mille Miglia; hand signed and dedicated by Stirling Moss.
Italian helmet makers JEB’S, founded in 1967 and made famous initially by brand ambassador Clay Regazzoni in Formula 1, produced the official 1000 Miglia classic helmet that was made available to owners entered in the modern Mille Miglia, to recreate that period look. Manufactured in a traditional style, these limited edition helmets are a rare find and very collectible.
This particular helmet was purchased by the owner to compete in the 1000 Miglia, and having completed the 1000 mile drive using a Stirling Moss replica ‘roller map’ just like Jenks, the helmet was sent to us for Stirling to sign, the dedication reads ‘If everything is under control, you’re not going fast enough!”.
Displayed since signing, the helmet is in excellent original order, it shows signs of use, having completed the modern era drive, displays extreamly well, and includes a pair of lightly used leather string back driving gloves, along side our original Certificate of Authenticity showing Stirling signing the helmet.
