B.R.M. Broadcast

On March 17th in the Home Service of the B.B.C. Laurence Pomeroy and Rodney Walkerley discussed the B.R.M. Pomeroy put its top speed at 200 m.p.h. and said it could accelerate from rest to 100 m.p.h. in about half the time that a high-powered touring car takes to reach 50 m.p.h. He said it should be able to win an existing race by a clear two laps (presumably he was thinking of a full 300 mile Grand Prix).

Walkerley gave as his personal opinion, in reply to a question, that the car might appear for the French G.P. at Pau on July 2nd or for the Jersey race, on July 13th. His choice or drivers would be Parnell, for his experience, Walker, for his dash and courage, and Johnson, because of his flair for G.P. driving. He named Hadley, Moss and certain of the motor-cycle boys as possible reserves.
