America, after producing replicas of veteran cars, or ” shammobiles,” which, however, are not recognised by our V.C.C. or her own Veteran Car Clubs, is now building replicas of World War I aeroplanes’. For example, a Fokker triplane, powered with a modern radial instead of a rotary engine and with non-authentic landing wheels and a steerable tail wheel.
