What is it?

Sir,

Perhaps some of your readers may be interested in identifying the car in the enclosed photograph, taken a few years ago in Holland. The owner was an elderly gentleman, who stated that he believed there was another similar car somewhere in Holland. I have never seen the make mentioned either in Motor Sport or any other literature. The car was in good condition and in everyday use, one feature was a special holder for an umbrella at the side of the front seat.

[See below—it looks like a perfectly normal American car to me—probably an Oakland but I am sure American-car experts will confirm or deny this.—Ed.)
