Fighting Talk

Sir,
Having read recent editorials and lengthy correspondence in various motor sporting journals bitterly opposing the current speed limits, the Committee of the Scottish Motor Racing Club felt, in the main, that these were only preaching to the converted, and if there was to be even a slender chance of successfully getting these limits changed then MPs had to be written to directly.

Consequently, we organised a printed letter which was sent out to all our members, who then merely had to address it to their MP, fill in their own address, sign and post it.

Through your columns we would urge other Clubs to take similar action. Perhaps Motor Sport could consider organising a similar type of letter to be circulated with your next issue.

Come on, let’s bombard our MPs with letters of protest.
