History wanted

Sir,

I wonder if you would be kind enough to help me. I am the owner of a Riley Brooklands, UY 4322 (1928). The firm that sold the car originally have informed me that “the car was sold to a Miss Phyllis Ceney of Dawlish House, Kingswinford, and that it was raced at Brooklands on a number of occasions, when it reached a maximum-speed of 116 m.p.h. on the Railway Straight.”

Is it possible for you to tell me anything about the car’s racing history from this slight and largely irrelevant information.

Roger L. Ballard.
