A Carter Special!

Sir,
As the owner of a Model-T Ford I was rather shaken to read in Mr. Carter’s book, “Edwardian Cars,” that the Model-T Ford drove on one rear wheel only and had no differential. The best bit, however, concerns the engine, quote . . . “In place of having cylinder tops cast with the block, a cover was provided which hinged along one side, so that by loosening a few bolts it could be turned back, thus exposing the pistons and valves.” … see page 151. It would indeed be most interesting to know the present whereabouts of this amazing Ford!

I am, Yours, etc.,
Harold Pratley.
