Greaseless bearings

Sir,
My car is fitted with Herald suspension, etc., which has the latest (reputedly) in nylon, greaseless bearings. My experience, and that of many of the mechanics in a local Standard Agency garage, is that these nylon bearings do not last half the time of those fitted with grease nipples and regularly maintained. I was even advised to convert back to grease nipples!

Perhaps (a) I have been unlucky—the usual excuse—or (b) I drive too hard(!). Anyrate, 14,000 miles per nylon bearing doesn’t seem very good to me.
