Murray Walker's Top Ten F1 Greats

Boundless enthusiasm for motorsport notwithstanding, Murray Walker’s greatest attribute is his ability to speak to all people at all levels. This video is perfect for those who need enlightenment, but is also absorbing for those who think they know it all.

The footage is well-selected and brilliantly clear, though for some of the older drivers – Ascari, Fangio, Moss and Clark – the shots are too frenetically spliced together, so Murray’s voice-over doesn’t always fit the shot that you’re watching.

If you can live with that, you’ll enjoy this hour-long video which has interviews with many of the men who figure in his ranking. Highlight? In-car footage of Ayrton Senna annexing pole at Monaco in 1991.

Get the DVD, and you will be treated to a round-up of those who didn’t quite make the top 10, a resumé of Walker’s career, and a clever ‘Murray interviews Murray’ feature. DM
