Merlin the Wizard!
The engineering saying 'if it looks right, it is right', describes the Spitfire to perfection. For a 1930s design, even today, it still looks drop dead gorgeous from any angle,…
A NEW DEVICE FOR PILLION RIDERS.
The illustration reproduced herewith shows a new device for pillion riders, introduced by the Pillion Safety Life Belt Co., of 48, Strand, W. C. 1., and offers a very practical solution to the problem of giving adequate support for passengers on the carriers of solo motor cycles. The use of the belt gives the passenger a sure means of keeping his or her seat, even on rough surfaces, without in any way interfering with the driver’s control over his machine. The belt which can be supplied either in leather or khaki webbing is strongly made, and is strapped round the rider’s waist as shown, the substantial nickel handles being grasped by the passenger. At the price of 5s. 9d. in webbing, and 6s. 9d. in leather, this useful belt should appeal to all motor-cyclists who carry pillion passengers.
