A Happy Alfa Romeo Owner

Sir,

After 30,500 miles (in under 28 months), I have just changed my Alfa Romeo Berlina 1750 for an Alfetta. The only serious trouble experienced has been clutch failure at 29,000: Otherwise, apart from wear on n/s front tyres and on two occasions need for carburetter adjustment, it proved a magnificent car. Fuel consumption was 26-28 m.p.g. on 97 octane and oil 2,000 m.p.p. As mentioned in my letter last year, the steering, brakes and roadholding were sheer delight, making long journeys a pleasure. The comfort of the seats also deserve praise, as does the spacious boot.

In conclusion, may I reiterate my advice to new Alfa Romeo owners to join their local branch of the Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club, where they can be sure of a welcome.
