BRM started their career with a most unusual engine. It would appear from p. 21 of January 1977 Motor Sport that BRM intend to end their days with an even more unusual arrangement, i.e., a V12 cylinder of approximately 0.018 cubic inch capacity, reputed to develop 490 b.h.p.
In these days of oversquare engines a reversion to a stroke-bore ratio of 64/1 does seem a big step backwards.
