The Vintage Sports-Car Club has announced a very full fixture-list for 1993. Its events open to non-members as spectators include two Silverstone race meetings (April 3 and June 12), speed-trials at Curborough (May 2) and Weston-Super-Mare (October 3), speed hill-climbs at Wiscombe (May 9), Loton Park (June 5/6), Shelsley Walsh (July 3), and Prescott (August 7/8), a Donington Park race meeting (May 31), an Oulton Park race meeting (June 26), a Mallory Park race meeting (July 18), and a Cadwell Park race meeting (August 30), etc. Details from the Secretary. A reader has sent us a cutting from a women’s magazine showing a picture of a man and wife setting off on honeymoon in 1932 in a Windsor tourer, the alsation dog mascot from which still exists. (We dealt with this rare make in MOTOR SPORT many years ago). The car must have been about seven years old when the photograph was taken and the paper had to get the NMM to identify its make.

A street in Le Mans is to be named after N Bentley.

The Bugatti OC has four Prescott Hillclimb meetings embracing classic cars, on May 22/23, May 30, July 18, and July 24/25. The Bugatti Spring Rally will be at Portsmouth. The Bugatti International Rally is in Germany this year, from June 22/27. Those who wish to learn how to drive fast and properly up Prescott should note that nine Drivers’ School courses will be held there this year, starting on March 20. Reverting to our GB Napier story, the car’s wheels were made by Oliver Grey, the radiator by John Underwood. And it has a r h accelerator. WB
