With regard to the proposed B.M.C.-Rolls link-up (reported on p. 873 of your November issue), I thought you might be interested in the enclosed photograph of a Rolls-Ruby owned by me a few years ago.
This car is still running, but unfortunately the Rolls engine plus Ruby clutch caused too much wheelspin and kangaroo-hopping for comfort, so has been restored to the original layout by its present powner!
