I, for one, am reassured at your slated intention to remain outspoken, and reading the final paragraph of G.P.’s report of the Ivory Coast Rally confirms this. Most readers will, I am sure, agree that the comments passed in this respect on Jean-Marie Balestre are not far wide of the mark. Personally, I think that M. Balestre has brought FISA into disrepute by his activities. Perhaps a former racing or rally driver of known soundness, common sense and integrity should occupy this post.
