Cobra on the block

An ex-works AC Cobra, registered 39PH, is going up for sale at an auction in February. Along with several Formula One cars and the EMKA-Aston Martin that finished 11th at Le Mans in 1985, the Cobra will be auctioned by H&H at Cheltenham racecourse in February.

39PH was an AC factory entry at Le Mans in 1963 for Ninian Sanderson and Peter Bolton, finishing seventh, and was then campaigned extensively by Jack Sears before being owned by Nigel Hulme (for 24 years) and Jon Minshaw.

The estimated sale price for this significant car is £700,000 to £800,000 for the February 20/21 auction.
