Sadler seals title at Silverstone

Veteran racer Josh Sadler was one of the drivers to clinch an HSCC title when the club’s racing season wrapped up at Silverstone in October. Sadler, who raced Clubmans cars with Harvey Postlethwaite in the 1960s, clinched the Historic Road Sports title in the Ginetta G4 owned by Patrick Ward-Booth.

Other titles settled included the ’70s Road Sports crown for Rory Stockbridge (Lotus Europa) and the Guards Trophy in favour of Martin Richardson (MGB). Hillman Imp racer Simon Benoy won the Historic Racing Saloon title, but only after an acrimonious first-corner accident eliminated four cars including those of title challengers Bob Bullen and Nigel Vaulkhard.
