The 23rd National Austin 7 Rally will bring together about 300 A7s at Beaulieu, Hants, and will include driving tests, an exhibition and autojumble, while there are no less than 30 trophies to be awarded in the concours event. Towards the end of July, Pembrokeshire Vintage Car Club have their Vintage Car Show at Scolton Manor, Haverfordwest, Dyfed. Entry forms for this event on July 28th can be obtained from Mrs Hilary Pugh, Hayston Hall, Johnston, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Much younger cars are the stars of National SP250 Day on July 14th, an all-day gathering of the fibreglass-bodied V8 Daintier sports cars. This is only held every two years, and some owners will be travelling from overseas to swell numbers to some 100 cars. Participants will gather at the Wamham War Museum, from where they will proceed to Paynes Green for the rally, which culminates in a barbecue. Another Austin weekend for all examples of the marque of 10 hp and over from 1930-1939 is to be held at Wellington Country Park on July 27th and 28th. As something of a change from rallies, the Hants and Berks MC have obtained sponsorship from Memorex, the tape people, to back their National Economy Event on October 19th/20th. Covering approximately 500 miles in the South and West of England, starting and finishing in the London area. the event is open to current production four. neater saloons, and regulations are available shortly from Mrs P.
