Giants in the Sky
by Douglas H. Robinson. 376 pp. 9-1/2 in. x 6 in. (G. T. Foulis & Co. Ltd., 50a, Bell Street, Henley-on-Thames, Oxon. £6.35.)
There have been so many airship books that another one comes as something of a surprise. However, this one is extremely well-written, by the American author of that memorable book "The Zeppelin in Combat" and deals comprehensively with the history of the rigid airship, the war-time Zeppelins.—W.B.
The Motor Racing Year No. 4
by Anthony Pritchard. 318 pp. 8-1/2 in. x 5-1/4 in. (Pelham Books Ltd., 52, Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3EF. £4.00.)
There are many annuals which cover the preceding year's motor-racing activities but this review of the 1972 season, including sports-car racing, F2, Can-Am, Tasman and Indianapolis, is in the form of a normal book. It follows similar coverage of the 1959-1971 seasons and is certainly comprehensive, if sparsely, illustrated.
No prize for guessing what this prolific author is doing next—it's a book about the Jaguar E-type and XK/XJ-series saloons.–W.B.
