My Father’s first car, purchased just after the First World War was a Saxon, till now this was the only one I had ever heard of.
This one had a dickey seat; the entire family of six used to go in it. My parents in front and me, the youngest, aged six, in between, two others in the dickey, and another sitting on the floor of the passenger seat, door open and feet on the running-board!
