There’s a lot of work that goes into owning a piece of motoring history. But then that’s part of what makes it so rewarding: a feeling of keeping something special alive, safeguarding it for a future generation.

So, it’s a good thing that Goodwood has set out to make life just that bit easier for owners by launching its own bespoke insurance service, Goodwood Classic Solutions.

Brand new for 2023, Goodwood Classic Solutions aims to take care of the time-consuming hunt for specialist insurance, giving owners more time to simply enjoy their cars.

The new service provides 24/7 access to tailored insurance policies, with customers able to receive personalised cover quotations quickly and easily. And driven by Goodwood’s passion and knowledge of the classic car scene, and a new partnership with Sterling Insurance, this takes insurance offerings way beyond what are achievable through run-of-the-mill comparison sites.

During a typical quotation, owners can input their specific car details and obtain an agreed vehicle valuation – with each car treated as an individual specialist case – which will then be used as the basis for the quotation. Goodwood Classic Solutions then does all the heavy lifting, and customers will receive three tailored policy options from leading insurers to choose from. The process is quick and easy, and is available online 24 hours a day.

A whole range of classics have been catered for, from the humble Mini Cooper where policies start as low as £135, up to more exotic classics like the Aston Martin DB5, starting from £395. There are also options for modifications and restorations, spare parts cover, breakdowns and salvage retention.

Members of both the Goodwood Road Racing Club and Fellowship will also be eligible for a discount; further discounts are available for owners who only do limited mileage.

Chairman of Goodwood, The Duke of Richmond, said: “I’m thrilled we are launching this unique classic car insurance service for the motoring community. Exceptional customer experiences are at the heart of what we do and with the launch of Goodwood Classic Solutions in 2023 – the year we celebrate 75 years of  motor sport at Goodwood – it couldn’t be a better time to extend this passion and expertise to fellow enthusiasts.”
