HSCC targets record saloon grid

July 7, 2014

The biggest ever grid of over 2-litre pre-66 saloons will be a feature of July’s Silverstone Classic, when the HSCC aims to fill a 48-car grid with V8 American machines and Jaguars.

The Historic Sports Car Club will organise two grids at the event as well as running the race programme. One grid will be for Road Sports and the other for saloons.

HSCC CEO Grahame White said: “I’m not sure what the record grid is for pre-66 saloons, but I’d love to have 40 of them as well as some Jaguars.”
