Moss supports sports car series

Sir Stirling Moss will lend his name to a series of races for genuine pre-1961 sports cars and sports-racers this season, following on from the success of the one-off race at the Algarve last October.

Motor Racing Legends has reconfigured the current BRDC Historic Sportscars series to include GTs as well as sports cars and sports-racers. Moss contested the Algarve event in his OSCA FS 372 and is also expected to race in the new series.

“We would not be launching this series were it not for the strong and persistent message from our racers that reinforces the desire for longer, two-driver races with strict eligibility restrictions and careful scrutineering,” said the series organiser Duncan Wiltshire.
