20th B.A.R.C. Brunton Speed Hill-Climb (April 12)

Continual rain throughout the day made the paddock and starting area very muddy and the bottom left-hand bend of the hill was decidedly slippery. In consequence the racing cars had little hope of using all their power and it was left to sports cars with i.r.s. to set the pace, A.C. Bristol and Porsches being well to the fore.
