Do you remember Welsh?

Sir,

I wish to create a verbal and photographic account of my late father,John (Jack) Welsh. He was a works mechanic with the competitions department of the Ford Motor Company from the mid-50s until his untimely death in December 1964.

He was taken ill at work, I believe probably working on cars for the 1965 Monte. He started working with them when they were based at Lincoln Cars in Brentford and he was then based at Boreharn in Essex.

I believe he was a bit of a character in the rally world and had the nickname Jolly Jack. He was well known to the Ford works drivers in his time and I believe also to people with other teams.

Is there anyone out there who might remember my father or who could help with photographs of the era, particularly of Ford works cars?

I am, Yours etc,
