Revival brings back Kyalami 9-Hours

The famous Kyalami 9-Hour race in South Africa will be the headline attraction in an all-new revival meeting on Saturday, November 17. The event will serve as a lead-in to the 50th anniversary 9-Hour race in 2008. To celebrate the famous race, the Revival is open to sports, GT and saloon cars that were eligible for the original 9-Hour events. Cars will compete in three groups: pre-66, pre-73 and post-72. Each group will race three times in a nine-hour period, starting with a sprint race, followed by a one-hour mini-enduro and then a night sprint race.

“We hope that the 2007 9-Hour Revival will attract overseas entries among a strong field of representative cars from the period which are still in South Africa,” said organiser Michele Lupini.
