ITALIAN GRAND PRIX
PETER GETHIN was the delighted winner at Monza, making it two in a row for Yardley-BRM in Championship events. Leader for 23 of the race’s all too short 55 laps was Ronnie Peterson, whose STPMarch only just failed to catch the winner, with Fl returnee Mike Hailwood (Surtees TS9) keeping well up. In the early stages, Ganley (BRM) leads Peterson, Ickx (Ferrari B/1) and Pescarolo (March) through
the Curvetta Parabolica.
