The build-up to the 2013 Motor Sport magazine Hall of Fame continues. Each year we host a star-studded night to honour great names of our sport and invite a selection from the past and present to join our club of heroes.
Between now and the 2013 event we will be asking those who are already members of the Hall of Fame whom they would choose to join them. This month we speak to 1979 Formula 1 World Champion Jody Scheckter.
“There are a few names that spring to mind: Mike Hailwood, Barry Sheene, and what about Dan Wheldon? Those three hardly need anything else said about them. Hailwood is one of the best bikers of all time, while Sheene is probably the most popular. As for Dan, well, he won Indy twice and in 2011 it was the only IndyCar race that he had competed in that year before that fateful day in the Kentucky Indy 300.”
So who would you include in the Hall of Fame? Go to www.motorsportmagazine.com and tell us who we should make a member in 2013
