Is Ferrari driver Luigi Villoresi thinking through his strategy before the start of the British Grand Prix? Villoresi is in notable company. Ferrari team manager Nello ‘Maestro’ Ugolini is studying a watch and chart. In 1957 he’d switch to Maserati after falling out with Enzo Ferrari. To the left is Giulio Ramponi, who had been a mechanic/engineer with Alfa Romeo before the war and in the 1950s became a Champion sparkplug rep. He settled in the UK around 1930 and masterminded the modernisation of Dick Seaman’s straight-8 Delage for 1936
