Bill Hodgkins and John Parkins of Joe Francis Motors Yamaha (No37) lead Roger Aldous and Peter Lucock of Royton Racing Harris Kawasaki (No12) in Sidecars – on the same day as a round of the Transatlantic Trophy and Shell Sport 500cc championship. Both duos made it to the final – won by Dick Greasley and Cliff Holland of Cyril Chell Motorcycles Yamaha.
