As racing duos go, they don’t get much more iconic than this: Nigel Mansell will get back behind the wheel of his Williams FW14B to mark the 30th anniversary of his 1992 Formula 1 title at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Those in attendance at the FoS, held on June 23 – 26, will also see Mansell blast up the hill in some of his other classic F1 cars, including the Ferrari 639, 640 and Lotus 91.

However it’s the FW14B which will be the headline act. The Briton won nine races in 1992 at the wheel of the supremely dominant Williams, clinching the title with five rounds to spare.

In a career that spanned 15 years, featuring 31 race wins, 32 pole positions and 59 podiums, the FoS will be a real chance to celebrate one of Britain’s most recognisable racing heroes.

“I’m thrilled to be coming to the Festival of Speed this year,” said Mansell. “It’s always a wonderful event and I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel of some of my cars again and celebrating 30 years since my world championship with all the Goodwood fans.”

“As we prepare to celebrate the ‘Masterminds of Motorsport’, I am delighted that Nigel will be joining us at the Festival of Speed to celebrate his incredible achievements in Formula 1,” added the Duke of Richmond, who holds the event on his Goodwood estate.

“We know our fans will be eager to see Nigel in action on the Hill and have a chance to applaud his historic career.”

As always, the FoS will feature a full star-studded lineup – joining Mansell on the famous hillclimb will fellow world champions Mika Häkkinen, Jenson Button, Damon Hill and Jackie Stewart, as well as Mark Webber, Tom Kristensen and Ricardo Patrese.

Tickets can still be purchased via the Goodwood website, with the full list of drivers available here.
