Porsche 550A Spyder

Sir,
I would he very grateful if any readers could help with the short-term loan of certain Porsche Spyder photographs.

I’m coming towards the end of a major rebuild of the 550A Spyder, chassis 0125, originally supplied to Carel Godin de Beaufort. Two of his finest long-distance drives were in these cars at Le Mans. In 1957 he finished eighth overall and won his class after the Works Porsche had expired, and one year later driving an outdated car against the new RSKs finished fifth. I think it would be a pleasant tribute to the memory of a great sportsman and a very fine driver to finish my car in the colours which he carried during one of these drives. In 1958 de Beaufort ran as number 32, with coloured diamonds on the nose and tail, and possibly sides, of the car. I would be most happy if I could borrow photographs showing in particular, the nose and sides, and I would also very much like to see a colour shot which would confirm exactly which colour was used.

If any reader could lend me appropriate photographs, I can guarantee to return them within a week, with considerable gratitude.
